You can use the details of your Australian driver’s licence (or learner’s permit) when verifying your identity via our Know Your Customer (KYC) Identity Verification service.
Provide the following information in your unique, secure identity verification form.
- state or territory that issued your driver’s licence
- licence number
- card number (if one appears on your licence)
- first name
- middle name (or initial)
- family name
- date of birth
Your licence cannot be verified online if:
- it’s been cancelled, refused or is no longer active
- you’re using a WA extraordinary licence issued by a magistrate to allow limited use of your vehicle.
Name verification
Enter your name as it appears on your licence up to the character limits (even if it only shows part of your name).
Include your middle name exactly as it appears on your driver’s licence. If your middle name appears as an initial, enter only the initial.
If you only have a single name on your licence, enter it in the Family name field.
Examples of Australian driver’s licences and where to find your card number
These examples show common locations for the required details on your Australia driver’s licence:
Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
New South Wales (NSW)
Northern Territory (NT)
Queensland (QLD)
Version issued since June 2019 – Card Number is on front of card, under signature.
Version issued before June 2019 – Card Number is on back of card, bottom-right.
South Australia (SA)
